Watercoloring and Adding Detail to Your Die Cuts

Hi, everyone! This is Nicki of Nicki Hearts Cards here today to share a fun card. I made a card in honor of the Ukraine with some beautiful blue and yellow colors. The video will give you all the details of what I used to create this card, so make sure to check it out!

Let’s start with the front of the card. I used the Buffalo Plaid stencil to dry emboss the white card stock. Then, I cut a circle from the center of the card to make my window.

Next, I used the “Mom Teapot” set to cut flowers and leaves out of watercolor paper.

Then I got my Zig Clean color brushes out in various shades of blue and yellow to add details and color the pieces.

I added fine details directly with the clean color pen.

Next, I colored the leaves in a beautiful blue color.

Then, I needed to create my ombre background with the same blue watercolor.

Finally, it was time to put the card together! I really love how this turned out. Let me know what you think in the comments!
