Festive Earrings in a Mini Gift Box – easy gift in a pinch!
- Ribbon Rosette Christmas Add On dies by i-crafter
- Matchbox Stories dies by i-crafter
- Shrink plastic in gold and white
- 5 tiny red gems embellishments
- Festive holiday cardstock
- 4 Earring hooks
- Needle nose pliers
- Glue
Die cut the wreath die from the Ribbon Rosette Christmas Add On dies three times on green cardstock.Die cut the Matchbox Stories cover sleeve from a brick chimney printed cardstock.Die cut the Matchbox Stories box tray from brown cardstock.Assemble the box sleeve and tray using liquid glue or extreme double adhesive tape. The tray will slide into the sleeve to create the gift box.
Die cut 2 snowflakes (from the Ribbon Rosette Christmas Add On die) out of white shrink plastic.Using a 1/8 inch hole punch, punch 2 holes in the gold shrink plastic about 2 inches apart. Die cut the star die making sure one of the points is over one of the holes (this will give you a hole to hang the star by). Repeat a second time to create two hanging stars. Cut one additional star from the gold shrink plastic.Shrink the plastic shapes according to the directions (on foil, on a baking sheet, in the oven).
To make the wreath, glue the three green cardstock wreath shapes one on top of the other, slightly staggering them to create a layered wreath. Add the 5 red gems to the top of the wreath. Glue the wreath in the center of the Matchbox Stories box sleeve. Glue the single star (with NO punched hole) in the middle of the wreath. The gift box is complete!
Using needle nose pliers, attach 2 jump rings to the two shrink stars with the holes. Attach one earring hook to each of the jump rings that were just attached to the stars to make star earrings. Attach one earring hooks to each of the the shrunken snowflakes, through one of the decorative die cut holes to create the snowflake earrings.
