Fall Frolicking Scotties – Simple Slimline Card Tutorial

Hello there crafty friends.  Happy Fall! I cannot believe the leaves are in full color already.  They provided the inspiration for this Fall Frolicking Scottie slimline card.  I used the super cute Scotty Holiday die set.

I had a variety of cozy looking plaid papers in my stash to choose from. I picked out three of them for this project. I grabbed the i-crafter i-Mend Self-mending ProCutting Deck and used it to die cut all.my card pieces.  The Scotty Holiday dies, from i-crafter, include two adorable Scotty dogs.  I die cut three different plaid paper scotty dogs.  I die cut  two red cardstock bowties, two black cardstock bowties, four black cardstock eyes, and two of the  “Cheers” sentiment.

A – Set out all your die cut pieces. Glue the two “Cheers” together
B & C – Place the Scotty dog die over the corresponding die cut plaid dog.  You will see an opening in the die for the placement of the dog’s eye.. Place a dot of glue into that opening, and using tweezer’s, glue the dog’s black eye into place.
D & E – Repeat this step with the two additional Scotty dogs.  Next glue one of the red or black cardstock bowties on to each Scotty dog.  We are now ready to assemble the card.
I cut a piece of cardstock printed with fall foiled leaves to 3″ x 8″. I positioned and glued the two green dogs to the lower left front of the card front.
Next, glue the red Scotty to the upper right side of the card front and add the sentiment below him.  I believe he looks like he is bounding into a pile of freshly raked leaves.  What a fun fall activity!  I finished the card by attaching it to a slimline card base.
