“Hidden Gems” dies in the Exploding Shaker Box set

Good morning! Ardyth here with some fun ways to use the dies in the Exploding Shaker Box Die set to make cards!

First there is this round window die that cuts a pattern of hearts! I cut it several times to create a full panel for my card.

These window dies cut two more sizes of hearts and that leads to fun layering possibilities!

I keep track of the 3 sizes on the grid on my worksurface.

To finish my first card, I created layered hearts with the 3 sizes of die cuts, and coloured the top and bottom layer of each with a rainbow of Copic markers.

I backed the cut out white panel with a panel of black cardstock and added a miss you sentiment created with the Carly Alphabet and the rectangles from the Pop Up Wiper Insert die set.

For the second card, I used 2 other dies included in the set – the 2 square dies that are used for the box top and bottom. I used the smaller square to cut a white doily and then adhered that to another white square that had been blended with ink. Then I cut a larger square from black cardstock.

These two squares work perfectly together to create a square panel with a frame.

For the third card, I combined the ideas from the previous two cards. This time, I cut the heart window die only once, coloured the hearts and laid them back into the holes. I inlaid a ‘hello’ sentiment and added a black and white layered heart to the centre.
