Mini Accordion Album Interactive Birthday Card

Hello crafty friends!  Welcome to the i-crafter blog!  I am so glad you stopped by today to see what inspiration we have in store for you.
And bonus…

I am highlighting the versatility of the Mini Accordion Album dies.  I am actually mixing an matching five different i-crafter dies to create this Mini Accordion Album Interactive Birthday Card.  It has lot of components, but the result is so cool and it is easy to recreate!  Lets get started –

A – Using the Mini Album Accordion dies, I die cut three pages (two from printed cardstock, one from white cardstock).

B – I  folded the accordion piece and sandwich the 1st fold through the slot on one of, the printed cardstock and sealed it in between the page

C – I attached a piece of i-crafter adhesive sheet to one side of the white cardstock page.

D and E – I threaded the middle accordion fold through the slot of the white cardstock page.  I removed the adhesive release paper and sealed the page shut to form one page in the middle.

F – I attached the last printed page to the final accordion flap sealing it in between the printed page

G and H – I used the Zip Gift Tag die to create a front tag using the birthday cake and the zip pull dies.  I added 1/4″ double sided foam adhesive to the outer edge of the sides and the bottom of the tag back.  I added one piece of the double sided foam adhesive to jut above the zip pull on the tag back.  I added the word Happy Birthday (from the Happy Birthday Wiper Insert die set) cutting them apart and gluing them to the front of the tag

I – I removed the adhesive backing on the sides and the bottom of the tag back to attach it to the inside of the last page.  (IMPORTANT NOTE- you will not expose and seal the foam tape  between the zip pull and the top of the tag  until after you have inserted your gift card in the opening)

P, Q, and R – Using the the Happy Birthday Wiper Insert dies and the “Horray” sentiment from the Celebration Wiper Insert dies, I created the inside page.  I stenciled clouds on the main wiper die  and the white page creating a sky of soft clouds.  I added a light blue cardstock to the inside printed page to cover the printed page and carry out the sky.  I added balloons using mirror and colored cardstock for the balloon clusters.  When you open the 1st page the pop out to celebrate!

S and T – Flipping to the back page, I created a pocked and card insert to write a note.  I used the “for you” sentiment from Zip Gift Tag die and one of the extra balloons.  It is added to the back side of the middle white page

U, V, and W – Using the Mini Album Accordion dies and the “For You” Sentiment form the Holiday Wiper Insert dies i created the bright and joyful page for the front of this Mini Album Accordion Birthday Card!

Thank you for stopping by today’s interactive tutorial.  I hope you are inspired to mix and match different dies in your creations.  The Mini Accordion Album dies can be used so many ways.  I decided a multi layered birthday card would be cool to create, but you could also create a travel journal or mini keep sake vacation book, baby photo album, or graduation keepsake.  What can you come up with?
