Matchbox Stories Pair

Hello all! Lauren here today with a pair of matchbox stories to share today. I love how easy these boxes are to set up and there are so many different stories you can tell!

My Love story is for my son and new daughter-in-law. They were married in a very quiet ceremony at the court house back in October. I thought my daughter-in-law would love this matchbox as a cute keepsake.

I started by choosing my papers that I wanted to use. I picked classic black cardstock for the base and the sentiment, white with silver dots for the case, and dark red to back the word LOVE. These were perfect for their wedding.

Once I had the box set up, I started filling it with fun things that would tell the story of their wedding. I had so much fun choosing these items from my stash. When I had decided what to use, I adhered them inside the base.

My next matchbox tells a completely different story! I created this one for my sister-in-law to give to her kids to announce that they will be taking a vacation to Disney World right after Christmas.

Again, I created the box first. I chose bright primary yellow for the base. Then for the outside, I added different washi tape diagonally onto a white cardstock panel. Then I die cut the top of the box out of it.

I then filled the box with components that would tell my niece and nephews that they’d be going to Disney!

I finished off the box by adding the Word Magic in black with a red background. I think the kids with absolutely LOVE getting this matchbox.

I had so much fun creating these two matchboxes. They are so easy and fun to do and I am already thinking of other stories I can create using this unique die set!
