Let’s Make This

Let Mom know how special she is with this Happy Birthday Wiper Insert and Making Faces

1. Begin by gathering your supplies. You will need:

Supplies for card front

Lightly spray the Pixie Spray to the back of the Cosmic Flare stencil. Lay the stencil on the card front. Note that there are thicker and thinner rays on the stencil design. Place a piece of scrap paper behind the thinner rays.

Using the i-Brush Blender Brush, apply inks to the stencil. Rotate the stencil and repeat on the opposite half. Use a makeup remover wipe to clean your stencil between applications to avoid transferring colors.

Lift the stencil and adjust the thinner rays to overlap the areas without ink from the first application and apply ink to those areas.

Using Hushed Darkness black hybrid ink, stamp the Comic Half-tone Dot stamp onto yellow cardstock twice. Leave enough room at the bottom for die cutting letters.

Die cut the letters MOM! from the yellow stamped cardstock with the dots just at the top of the letters. Die cut the same letters from black cardstock. Die cut two large bursts from yellow and white cardstock.

Comic Words

Using the round Half-tone Dot stamp and Hushed Darkness hybrid ink, stamp in the center of the stenciled background.

Adhere the two bursts on top of the stamped dots.

Adhere the black outlined letters and the yellow stamped letters to the front of the card.

Print out the free, downloadable sentiments on white cardstock. The printable has a thin rectangle around three different sentiments. Cut out the section with the sentiment of your choice. Place the Happy Birthday wiper insert within the thin rectangle and die cut the sentiment.

Fold and adhere the wiper insert to the inside of a 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ folded horizontal card.

For detailed instructions on how to fold the base click to view the Heart Hands Wiper Insert video HERE.

Die cut two balloon holders out of stiff white cardstock. Adhere the holders to the wiper insert.

Die cut then balloon shapes to use as faces. Die cut different hair styles and glasses from the Making Faces die set. Make one face truly unique.

Adhere the hair and glasses to the balloon shapes.

Making Faces

Adhere the faces to the ends of the balloon holders. Keep the faces low enough so that when the card swings closed then the tops of the heads do not show on the side of the closed card.
