Hello. It’s Lauren on the blog today, sharing this pretty wintery card using the Rocker Step Card Base die set.
This is a really versatile set. Not only does it make a unique interactive 3D card, you can use the elements included in the set to make traditional cards as well. That’s what I did for this card.
First, I created a background by ink blending Distress Oxide Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass onto a white A2 sized (4.25×5.5″) cardstock panel.
Then I used the included dies to cut the pieces needed to create the bird.
Next, I adhered all the die cuts onto the bird.
I then die cut a branch from brown cardstock.
Then I used a stitched rectangle die from my stash to trim down my ink blended background. And I adhered the branch and bird onto it.
I wanted to create a snowstorm on my card, so I thinned titanium white acrylic paint with a little water and splattered it all over my panel using a paint brush.
Next, I die cut the word “warm wishes” in black cardstock and also from white cardstock that I had blended Spun Sugar onto. Then adhered the words onto the card panel along with a few snowflake sequins.
The last step was to adhere the panel onto a white top folding card base. I hope this snowy card inspires you to use your dies in all kinds of ways. Thanks for visiting!
