Whimsy Teddy Bear Gift Card Envelope – i-crafter

Hello my crafty friends! Welcome to today’s blog featuring the Animal Mini Envelopes by i-crafter.  I thought it would be super cute to make a fun whimsy Teddy bear. The envelope size is perfect for gift cards or cash and you can create many different types of animals with all the included dies.  

Here you will see the cut die pieces I used and the printed paper to create the fun whimsy Teddy bear. I die cut 3 envelopes flaps from white cardstock, polka dot cardstock and kraft cardstock. Die cut 2 ears from the polka dot cardstock and also the envelope body. Die cut 2 of the scalloped circles from Kraft cardstock. Finally, I die cut the eyes and nose from black cardstock.

A – I cut about a 1/2″  off the bottom of both the  polka dot and kraft envelope flap.  I used a corner rounder punch to round out the point of the white envelope flap and the three sides of the kraft cardstock to create the muzzle.

B –  I folded the score lines of the envelope body and glued the flaps together to form the envelope pocket

C –  I positioned the ears at a slight angle on the top flap of the envelope body and glued them down

D –  I glued the scalloped kraft paper circles on top of the ears and then attached the white front flap on top of the ears and envelope body flap

E –  I glued the muzzle to the front lower part of the envelope face and the polka dot triangle to the top in between the ears

F –  I call it the nose to the center top of the muzzle

G –  I centered the eyes and glued them into place

H –  As a final embellishment, I added a flower to the left hand lower front of the envelope

This completes the sweet Teddy Bear gift card holder.  Wouldn’t this make a cute gift for a baby shower gift card or a child’s birthday party?
