Hi, everyone! I am Nicki (@nickiheartscards) from the design team. I love using vellum on shaker windows and thought I would make a video about why you should try this technique. This post will briefly go over the process in this post but make sure to check out the video for the full details.
Let’s start  with the new “Mom Teapot” die set.
First, I cut the teapot shape out of the card front. Next, I used spun sugar to blend the background and with the buffalo plaid stencil for the card front.
Now we need to attach the vellum window. I used double sided tape to do this. Once the window was in place, I used foam strips to build the shaker element.
I added embossed pastel hearts to the window to complete the shaker element. Next, I used copic markers to color the flowers and leaves that came with the die set. Finally, I placed all the flowers and added glossy accents to centers and to the “Mom” sentiment.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Make sure to check out the YouTube video for more ideas on how and when to use vellum for your shaker window.
