Valentine’s Day Memorydex with dies

Hello!  Thanks for joining me today!  This is Shanna from Caffeinated Craftiness and I am sharing a fun memorydex card featuring the Heart Embellishment die set!

I love making memorydex cards!  They display on my crafty desk and bring me joy as I flip through them periodically! I decided to create one with a Valentines Day theme using the new Heart Embellishment dies.

To start, I die cut a 4″ square base by gluing together 2 4″ die cut square cuts using the new Classic Squares die set.  Such a perfect staple set!  I used my memorydex punch to cut the holes from each square prior to gluing them together.  I chose to double up for strength since my Kraft cardstock was lighter weight.

I kept the design pretty simple, using Kraft, gold, and white as my color scheme.  The Kraft with white made me think of sugar cookies for some reason!  I layered multiple dies together to create some dimension for the main heart.  I die cut the smaller embellishment dies multiple times out of gold foil cardstock to create my background.  I love the end result!  This will be displayed for a while I think!
