Hello! Melissa Craig here and I have a fun, pretty non-traditional Valentine’s card to share with you.
Products used:
Impossible Box, Valentine Add-On
“Wishes” from Rocker Step Card Base
Heart border from Valentine Treat Add-on
Small heart from Heart Embellishements by Lori Whitlock
Now, let me tell you how I made this.
- Using the small heart, cut a couple of hearts from fun foam. Adhere them together. Why? So glad you asked! Using some temporary adhesive, stick the foam fun shape to an acrylic block. Viola! Homemade stamp! What??!! Yes, you just used your die to make a stamp. Now stamp all overall white panel. I inked it up and stamped it out a couple of times, that way you get some gradient color.
- Cut out another panel and then cut it on a diagonal. Emboss how you wish to add some texture. Cut 2 pieces of the heart border and then adhere to the edge of diagonal cut, overlapping slightly to make it appear as one continuous cut. Use the little hearts from the border to embellish the stamped hearts. Cover with glossy accents to make them appear as enamel dots.
- Cut out the VALENTINE letters. Adhere to card along the diagonal and cover those with glossy accents.
- Finish them off with some more dots. I used Nuvo Crystal Drops.
You have a fun, cute and oh-so-non-traditional Valentine’s card to give to anyone!
NICE!!! it really shows the dies well, and yet it’s a card. Very cool!!
Very dramatic card design. The dark blue is so unique for a Valentine’s card.
