Hi fellow crafters! It’s Lauren and I am on the blog today to share this weathered, beachy shell card. This card features one of the shells from the Layered Shells Sentiments stamp set.
I started out by stamping the shell onto a white piece of cardstock. I did that by brushing Tombow brush pens directly onto the stamp.

After that, I created a mask for the shell. Using a stencil that reminded me of an old fishing net, I blended Hickory smoke around the shell.

Next, I cut that out using a torn edged square die and added the ink all around the edges. I then stamped the sentiment in Hickory Smoke and used a stitched fish tale banner die to cut it out. I also inked all around the edges of that.

I used the same ink to color a tiny close pin to match and clipped it to the shell panel.

To assemble the card, I used an A2 card base that I adhered a slightly smaller gray cardstock to. On top of that, I adhered a weathered wood patterned paper that I had in my stash. Next, I placed double sided foam tape on the back of the shell panel and adhered it on an angle to the card. Then underneath, I placed the sentiment.
To finish off the card, I added the “to the beach” arrow and some grey pebble self adhesive embellishments.
