Time for Sweater Weather – an i-crafter project

Hello my crafty friends! It has been a bit brisk here in the Midwest and most definitely time for sweater weather!   This is the inspiration for my Time for Sweater Weather card.  I used four i-crafter die sets to create this cozy card!

I started out by coloring a sheet of white coloring cardstock with my Olo markers. I used a dark, medium, and light marker to create varigated colors of yellow, orange, and purple.  I die cut the loop knitted die from the Slimline Knit, Knot, Stitch die set using the i-Mend Self-Mending ProCutting Deck.  I die cut five of the loop lengths to knit together.
The second photo on the top (with the light and dark orange knit strips) demonstrates how to loop and knit two of the die cut knitted loops together.  You can see that the dark orange loops have been folded to fit into into the light orange loop and pulled through. This is creating a knitted paper link between the dark orange and light orange die cuts. You may push the loops thought the front or the back side of the second loop length to create different knitted looks as I did with the verigated loops I cut from my hand colored cardstock.
I used the Folded Maple leaf die and die cut the “happy autumn” sentiments from a cream colored cardstock. I die cut three fall leaves (the die is from the Matchbook Stitches Base die set) using the remaining  purple, yellow and orange hand colored cardstock. I die cut two 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ square black frames using two dies from the Classic Squares die set to frame the knitted piece.
The rest of the elements are added to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ grey card front embossed with a wood textured folder from my craft stash.
I tried to create a cozy fall feeling with the different i-crafter dies for this autumn card.

Thank you for stopping by to check out the Time for Sweater Weather card. . I hope you are inspired to create something lovely today!
