Thankful Trees

Hello Everyone! Justin here, and today I am sharing a fun little project I made using the Pine Tree 3D Die set! I just love how cute these little trees shape up to be, and I think they would just make the greatest addition to your holiday dinner table, coffee table or fireplace mantle this holiday season!

While pine trees don’t really change color, I thought I would put a Thanksgiving twist on them. I decided to use a red, orange and yellow palette, with a little bit of brown for the trunk of the tree as well! To give my project a little extra flair, I used the Thankful Sentiments stamp set to stamp the provided sentiments onto each of the colored pine tree areas in the corresponding color!

The trees are very easy to create. For each tree, you cut 4 of the trunk pieces, which give you a nice crease to score, and you adhere together so they form a cross/T of sorts.

There are 5 different sized pine tree areas, and you really can customize your trees to have as many or as little areas as you’d like! For my trees, I wanted to make them in a small, medium and large size, with the die cut count below:

Red Tree (Largest Size): 2 of all 5 sizes (10 Total)

Orange (Middle Size): 2 of the 4 smaller sizes (8 Total)

Yellow (Smallest Size): 2 of the 3 smaller sizes (6 Total)

Before placing the pine tree area die cuts onto each trunk, I trimmed the trunks of the Orange and Yellow trees, as this is really what will change the height of the project.

Also, a little bit of fair warning: The tallest tree measures only 5.75″! So do not be overwhelmed if these trees look large! Completing this entire project took 4 total 8.5″ x 11″ pieces of cardstock (plus one small bit of brown cardstock scraps for a single trunk die-cut).
