Hello my crafty friends and welcome to today’s i-crafter blog. I am sharing these two simple yet sophisticated looking holiday cards. They are created with the Holiday Words die set from i-crafter’s July release.
You can see I have chosen two non-traditional holiday striped prints for these cards. The striped 4″x5 1/4″ Happy Holidays card front is on a diagonal angling upwards towards the right slightly.
I used the same printed striped paper to die cut the words “Happy Holidays”, but this time I mean sure the stripes were vertical (up and down) on each word. I die cut each word 4 more times from Kraft cardstock and glued them together as a stack. I glued the vertically striped words on top of their stack. I glued Happy at the top of the striped card front and then glued Holidays directly under it. I added a gold organza bow and finished up the card front with gemstones for a little bling.
This holiday striped card is created the same way as the card above. Layering the word Joy die cuts and the snowflakes in the same manner. These are cut in a different direction from the striped card front allowing the die cut images to be seen as the stripes directions contrasted other. The rib bon is a green organza and tied around the middle of the card front with a simple knot. Gemstones are added to the snowflakes and by the word Joy for a bit of bling.
