Mini Slimline Zip Envelope for the Holidays

Hi there. It’s Lauren on the blog today with a pretty holiday Mini Slimline Zip Envelope idea. This is such a wonderful, unique envelope die set.

I started by picking out some pretty holiday paper from my stash. I then used the envelope die to die cut 2 envelope pieces. If you are using paper with a pattern that goes in one direction then be sure and die cut one piece with the pattern upside down. When rotated right-side-up, this will be the front of the envelope. I then placed the curved zip die on the right-side-up pattern envelope piece to create the back of the envelope. You can also insert the curved zip die into the envelope die before running this through your die cutting machine in one pass. Using the MAGNETIC PRO Self-Mending Cutting Deck makes this super easy! Either way works!

Fold along the score lines on both envelope pieces and adhered only 3 of the 4 sides together. That way you can still add your card inside. I also used the label die to cut a label from holiday card stock from my stash and the words “deliver to” from iridescent silver card stock and adhered them onto the front of the envelope.

Next, create a mini slimline card to insert into the envelope. Start by cutting a piece of holiday paper from your stash down to mini slimline size (3.25×6.25). Die cut all the pieces for the swallow from white cardstock and blue for the eye and beak. Also cut the word “Peace” that is in the Christmas Words die set from iridescent silver card stock. Adhered the swallow and the word onto the slimline panel.

Adhere the panel to a white mini slimline card base.

With the card complete, place it inside the envelope and adhere the last side, finishing off this project.

I love the way this envelope and card turned out. I hope this inspires you to break out some of your holiday papers and create a pretty envelope for someone special. Thanks for visiting!
