Masculine Valentine’s Card

Hi, this is Nicki of Nicki Hearts Cards! I am always looking for masculine cards and feel like these are often a challenge but my boys and husband appreciate it so much when I make them one. I have an entire video on the card if you are interested in more details so make sure to check that out.

First, I cut out all the pieces to the Apron Box Card.

Next, I ink-blended the back panel of the apron to match the plaid paper. I used 3 colors to do this Distress Ink in Prize Ribbon, Distress Oxide ink in Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.

After the ink blending, it was time to get my utensils ready. I cut the spatula and spoon out of silver card stock. The rolling pin was cut from Kraft card stock and colored with copic markers to imitate wood grain.

Before putting all the pieces together, I added apron strings with chunky twine. Once I assembled the apron, I used some foam tape to pop it up and give the card extra dimension. I had so much fun with this card! I hope you enjoyed it. Make sure to check out the video.
