Masculine Valentine Card

I have a family full of males so I find myself making masculine cards quite often. This one will be perfect to give my husband for Valentine’s day.

Double sided paper works best to use with this heart flip die set. However, if you don’t have any or if you want to use particular paper you can always create your own double sided paper. That is what I did to create this card.

First, I found coordinating paper that I wanted to use. Then, I added an i-stik double sided adhesive sheet to one side of the burgundy cardstock and backed it with the key patterned cardstock. I did the same thing with the brown floral cardstock.

Once I had my paper ready, I die cut the pieces to create the card making sure to cut so the burgundy side would be the front and create the heart. Then I glued the two panels together to form the card.
Next, I bent the top flap along the score line and creased it with my bone folder. I then glued the lock, key and knob embelishments onto the card.

I used the hands from the Heart Hands wiper insert to adhere to the back of the front flap. I had to trim the hands down in order to get the heart they form in the center of the heart.

The “you” I used, came from the Mini Album-Accordion. I die cut it out twice. One out of the burgundy cardstock. The other out of the key cardstock. I ofset them a little, then adhered them together. Then adhered it onto the card.

That was the last step in completing my masculine heart flip card. I hope you enjoy it. I think my husband will love it!
