Lucky Cat Gift Bag

Hello everyone!  It’s Marcia on the i-Crafter blog today with this fun gift bag perfect for the new year.  I love cats and was happy to see the release of Box Pops Lucky Cat Add-on.  I paired this Beckoning Cat with the beautiful heart mandala piece from the newly released Impossible Box Valentine Add-on atop a small gift bag.

Supplies used:
Box Pops Lucky Cat Add-on
Impossible Box Valentine Add-on
Bag With Bow by Lori Whitlock

I used a soft floral paper to die cut the cat.  It reminded me of soft porcelain and I love using patterned paper in unexpected places.  The mandala piece behind the waving paw was cut from gold foil cardstock, which was also used to cut out letters for the die cut words “GOOD LUCK”.  The coins were also cut from the gold.  The Lucky Cat’s collar was cut from red foil cardstock as was the shadow layer for the die cut words.  I lightly inked the edges of the floral cat to add more interest.  The paper for the bag is from my stash and has a beautiful linen texture.
