Hello my crafty friends! Welcome to today’s i-crafter blog. I love laughter and today, it’s all about keeping you in stitches! I am using the new i-crafter Slimline Knit, Knot & Stitches dies to create this variegated knitted card. It may look intimidating, but this is super easy to attach the loop strips together creating this fun stitched look. Let’s take a closer look at how to knit cardstock!
I chose three coordinating colors of cardstock to “knit” together creating that loose knit sweater look.

You start with two strips of cardstock die cut with the knit loop die from the Knit, Knot & Stitches Slimline die set. I am using a light and dark orange so you can see how to knit this cardstock chain together.

Gently folded the loops from one of the strips (dark orange) and push them through the back of the other loop strip (light orange).

This is how the chain looks as the two pieces are looped together

The finished strip will be connected. You can proceed to add more loop strips by completing the same steps and adding your next strip of loops through the back of the dark orange loop strip and so on.

I used 6 loop strips (two of each color) to create the card front. The knitted loops are glued to each other with a dot of glue where they overlap each other to keep them flat and in place. This knitted cardstock piece is then trimmed to 3 1/2″ x 5″. I glued the knitted piece to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of navy cardstock for the card front.

I used a textured embossing folder on a piece of white cardstock and die cut the lower case Carly Alphabet dies to create my sentiment “you keep me in stitches”. I positioned the words on the card and glued them into place. I attached the card front to a white A2 card base to complete the card.
