Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I had my Color Bursts out from my last card and decided to create a background using the Fern Berries Stencil. Below you will find the steps to create your own Hello World card.
Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)
Step 2 – Trim Watercolor paper to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. Any Watercolor paper will work. I used Strathmore Ready Cut Watercolor Hot Press. Place the Fern Berries Stencil on top of the Watercolor and apply Versamark. Remove the stencil and sprinkle WOW! White Pearl Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Temporarily adhere the panel to a Hard Board using Painter’s Tape. Lightly sprinkle Color Burst Ultramarine Blue and Pthalo Green in various areas. Generously spray Shimmer Spritz which will spread the micro fine powder and as well as create a sparkle effect. Let dry.
Step 3 – Trim Dark Blue Cardstock to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2”. Adhere to card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
Step 4 – Diecut the panel created from Step 2 using any Rectangles die you have in your stash. I used a Double Stitched Rectangles. Adhere to card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
Step 5 – Diecut Teal Cardstock is a smaller Rectangle die and adhere to card in an angle using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
Step 6 – Stamp Wonderful World (Flowers) using Versamark. Sprinkle WOW! White Pearl Embossing Powder and remove the excess. Heat set it with a Heat Tool. Color in any Watercolor medium of your choice. I used Arteza Real Brush. Diecut Hello World (Globe) using the stamped image. Diecut Hello World (Globe) using Dark Blue Cardstock. Trim the Globe holder (the coloured diecut) and adhere to the Blue diecut using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. Adhere to the card using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
Step 7 – Diecut Hello World (Banner with Hello World sentiment) using Dark Blue Cardstock. Adhere to card using Foam Tape.
Step 8 – For added interest randomly adhere Pearls using an Embellishment Wand and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
This card can be used for many occasions by changing the sentiment and/or colors. Below is a link to all the products used. Thank you for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
