Hello, Sunshine!

Hello sunshine! It’s Ardyth here with a couple of happy, sunny cards using the new Hello Sunshine Wiper die set.

For my first card, I used the rectangle die to create a kind of ‘rainbow’. Pro tip for easy spacing: I glued down the pink and purple rectangles first, then centred the green one between them. Then it was easy to centre the yellow one between pink and green, and the blue one between green and purple.

My next layer is made up of the two clouds, cut from pearlescent vellum. This gives a lovely shimmery, translucent look so that the rainbow is still visible through the clouds.

Finally, the sun is on top. To make his eyes pop, I adhered a tiny piece of black cardstock behind the two holes that the die cuts. And I popped up some pink cheeks to pop up the cute factor!

My sentiment was made with the circle hello die included in the set. I cut it from white, and then coloured the letters in the same rainbow colours before inlaying them. I popped it up on the bottom of the black panel and trimmed off the bottom of the circle for a different look.

My second card is about as easy as it gets! I started by using an i-crafter i-Brush Blender Brush to blend some yellow ink onto a white panel of cardstock. I used a circular motion with lots of pressure in the centre, and lightening up as I moved outward.

I cut the Hello circle from white cardstock and popped it up over the yellow ink. Then I cut the sunshine word from black cardstock and glued it to the white Hello circle.

I created a yellow mat with the same ink, to add some definition to the card.
