Hello! It’s Lauren up on the blog today sharing my slimline card, featuring a unique way to use the delicate window die from the Cherry Blossom Box. I had this idea to create a sort of see through lattice screen on the front of the card. Then to fit those sweet Pandas and the bamboo from the Playful Pandas stamp set in the middle.
To create the lattice screen, I started off with a slimline card base, then started measuring to see how many would fit across and down. I figured I could do two across and three down which would leave a band in the center to anchor the pandas and bamboo. I did need to use my full sized die cutting machine in order to accommodate the width of the slimline card.

After completing the lattice screen, I stamped the two pandas onto a separate piece of white cardstock using black ink. Then fussy cut them both out. Next I stamped the bamboo in green a fussy cut it out and glued them all to the solid band in the center.

Next, I die cut the word “hello” from the Flip Card Dashed Circle set in black and adhered it onto the front. Then, taking the “so glad we’re friends” sentiment from the Bloomin’ Sunshine set, I stamped it in black onto white cardstock. Before placing it on the card, I framed it with black cardstock.
I am so pleased with they way this card turned out. I love the black and white look with the pop of green the bamboo brings in. I really hope you enjoy this card and try doing something different with your own die sets. It’s so fun to experiment! Thanks for visiting!
