Grow Mini Canvas

Hi everyone! It’s me Tonya and I’m back with a bonus project that I had leftover from April using the Carly Alphabet Diecuts. Speaking of leftovers this mini canvas is created using nothing but scraps that I had laying around.

GRW1

I painted a 2 7/8″x2 7/8″ canvas with celery colored acrylic paint and once dry I went back over the edges of the canvas was a brown chalk ink. While letting ink dry on the canvas I dug into my tin of scraps and pulled out bits of lace, cheese cloth, diecuts, sequin, a gem, a nest printable and scraps of cardstock to use on my canvas.

I adhered diecuts to the canvas along with several layers of a scraps of patterned cardstock. I added a piece of lace on top of the cardstock, pulled a part cheese cloth and a fussy cut image of a bird’s nest to the corner of the canvas.

GRW4

I applied a piece of i-Stik Adhesive to the back of a piece of patterned cardstock. Placed the Carly Alphabet Diecuts letters G, R, O, W on top of the piece of cardstock along with a piece of washi tape to hold the diecuts in place while I run through the diecut machine. I peeled the backing from the i-Stik adhesive and stuck the letters to the canvas. Also I glued the tiniest bit of lace, sequin and a gem to the upper corner to add balance to the canvas.

GRW3

I roughed up strips of cardstock and adhered around the outer edges of the canvas to finish the super easy home decor project. The slowest thing about this project was letting the paint and ink dry.
