Grill Master, Apron Shaped Card

Hello. Lauren here to share a fun, masculine, shaped card using the new Apron Box Card die set by Lori Whitlock. I love all the fun things you can do with this set. The weather is quickly warming up where I am in Texas, so BBQ season is almost here. I chose to use the set to create an apron shaped card that would be great for any grill master you may know!

I started out with an A2 (4.25×5.5) sized kraft card base. I positioned the die on the card so that the cutting line at the top of the apron was just above the top of the card. This keeps the card base fold line intact, thus creating the apron shape when you run it through your die cutting machine.

I then used the included rectangle die to die cut a pocket for the apron from a fun BBQ patterned paper I had in my stash.

Then, I used the Alphabet Carly set to die cut the words “Grill Master” from deep rust colored cardstock.

I wanted a bbq tool handle to come out from the apron pocket, so I used one of the included dies to cut a handle from dark brown cardstock.

Then, I started to adhere all the elements I had cut, onto the apron card. Also adding a dark burgundy ribbon through the holes and tying the ends together in a knot to look like the neck ties of the apron.

This completes my card for today.  I think this would make a great birthday or Father’s Day card. It lays flat and fits into an A2 envelope for mailing. I hope this inspires you to create a fun apron shaped card. Thanks for visiting!
