Hello! Ardyth here with a bold graphic (and very easy!) birthday card using Comic Halftone Dots stamps and the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Happy Birthday wiper die set.
I started by stamping the rectangle half tone stamp on a panel of white cardstock, using a stamp positioner tool. Then I flipped the panel over and stamped it again. I trimmed the panel so that it was the width of the stamp. The images didn’t quite meet in the middle, so I decided to cover the white area with a black circle die cut with the happy birthday die cut on it.
I cut the shadow from white cardstock and the letters from black for maximum contrast – I love the ‘rock star’ font of this sentiment!
And I thought I was finished – just a black and white card. But the rainbow lover in me won in the end and I cut a slightly larger white circle.
I coloured just the edges with a rainbow of bright markers and then placed it behind the black cirle.
This card was easy to make but it has maximum impact!
This is really cool Ardyth!
