Garden Fairy and Holliday Angel ornaments with i-crafter’s Folded Holly dies

Folded Holly

Hello my crafty friends!  Welcome to the i-crafter blog.  Today I am using the Folded Holly dies to create this  Holiday Angel and Garden Fairy.  Two Folded Holly leaves and one of the Making Faces dies are needed to create each of these fun ornaments.  The Holiday Angel also needs the Dashed Circle dies too!

Here are the steps:

Garden Fairy

A – The Garden Fairy uses a pink flower foiled printed cardstock for the Fairy body, a bright green stripes printed cardstock for the Fairy wings and the Making Faces die with her hair pulled up into a bun.

B – Fold the  pink cardstock into the holly leaf and tape it in the middle.  I cut a slit up the end of a paper straw and glued it over the middle seam in the back of the holly leaf body.  I folded the green cardstock, but left it open to use as wings.  I used a hole punch to pinch a half circle on the center folds.  This will fit over half the straw on the back, but it also allows the wings to fold better with less paper bulk.  I tied a piece of string around the  Middle of the green wings and glued it over the straw on the back of the Pink Holly body.

D – I glued the Making Faces die cut to a piece to a piece of solid brown cardstock shaped slightly smaller than the face dies. I glued this to the front of the Fairy body completing the ornament

Holiday Angel

E – The wings for the Holiday Angel are die cut from foil paper and are able to fold flat in the back

F – I Created a holly leaf body from a holiday paper. I tide a piece of string around the wings and glued them onto the back of the holly body.

G – I created a small hole at the top flap of the holly body to thread the string through for hanging the ornament

H – I die cut the smallest circle from the Dashed Circle die from holographic paper to use as a halo.  I glued one of the Making Faces dies to the front of the Halo and then to the Holiday Angel body to complete the ornament
