Hello my crafty friends! I have a really fun i-crafter project for you today. Have you ever made paper jewelry? Well, today you will see how easy it is to shift from a card or scrapbook page and create something wearable out of paper, liquid adhesive and a bit of Diamond Glaze.
I am using i-crafter’s new March release Slimline Edges and Border dies to create these fun and festive earrings. This geometric border reminded me of a Celtic look and I thought with St. Patty’s day around the corner these would be great made with a green and purple cardstock. I can see these even made with a foiled or specialty paper too. the possibilities are endless.
B – I was able to cut the three connected rhombus or diamond shape design twice from each border strip for the triple design pieces. I ended up with 2 purple triple design pieces and 8 green triple design pieces. From the 5th green strip, I cut two of the single rhombus or diamond shapes to accent the front of the earrings
C – I used Diamond Glaze as an adhesive and strengthener to connect 4 of the triple green pieces together. I set them assist and did the same with the second set of triple green piece to create the two earring bases.
D – I glued one of the purple triple design pieced on the front (or top) of each green triple stacks and added one of the single green diamond designs to the lower front of the earrings. Once the pieces are glued together and there are two stacks, I added a layer of Diamond Glaze to the top of the each earring and set it aside for 12- 24 hours to dry. Repeat the Diamond Glaze step on the back side of the earrings and let dry 12 -24 hours
E – Once the two earring pieces were dry, I added a jump ring and earring hooks to complete the earrings. They are read to wear!
