Find Joy In The Journey Card

Hi everyone, it’s Tina here. I just love the new Hello World dies and Wonderful World Stamps which was just released a few days ago. I decided to take out my dusty Color Bursts and create a sparkly world. Below you will find the steps to create your own Find Joy In The Journey Card.

Step 1 – Trim White Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at 4 1/4” and fold in half for a vertical side fold card. (A2)

Step 2 – Trim Honeybee Beach Vibes 6×6 Paper to 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”. Adhere to card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 3 – Trim Strathmore Ready Cut Watercolor Hot Press 140lb 5” x 7” into 2 pieces (if you don’t have Hot Press then any kind of Watercolor Paper will work). Lightly sprinkle Color Burst Ultramarine Blue on one and Pthalo Green on the other. Instead of spraying water I used Shimmer Spritz. Let dry.

Step 4 – Diecut Hello World using the Green Panel in Step 3 with the Continent and Globe Stand die, Black Cardstock with the same Continent and Globe Stand Die and Diecut the Blue Panel with a Circle Die. Trim out the Black Globe Stand and adhere on top of the Green diecut and the Blue diecut to the bottom of the Globe. Adhere the assembled Globe to the card front using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.

Step 5 – Stamp Wonderful World sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black Ink on Honeybee Beach Vibes 6×6 Paper. Diecut the sentiment out with Hello World (Banner) die. Fold on the edges to add some dimension and adhere to card using Foam Tape in the center and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive on the edges.

Step 6 – For added interest and sparkle randomly adhere Vintage Shimmer Pearls using an Embellishment Wand and Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive.
