Hello and Welcome! This is Shanna today from Caffeinated Craftiness.
I am really excited to share the start of what I am hoping will be a long-term project of mine with the new Recipe Mini-Album die set from I-Crafter! I love all the elements in the set and knew right away I wanted to pull out my felt for the cover!
I started by finding a scrap piece of chipboard to use as my base. Chipboard is easily found in a lot of packaging—such as cardboard mailers. I used one I had gotten in the mail a while ago and cut it down to size so it would fit through the opening in my die cutting machine. Then I simply sandwiched the chipboard and the large scallop-edged die onto my Magnetic I-mend Pro deck (LOVE this thing!!) and ran it through the machine. It die cuts pretty easily actually.
I needed a cardstock cover for the inside of the album covers, so I grabbed some pattern paper from my stash and die cut those as well using the same die.
Next I grabbed my felt. I picked the colors and cut the felt down for each die before placing them onto the I-mend Pro deck. The beauty of a magnetic deck meant I didn’t have to mess with trying to tape my dies to the felt—which if you have ever worked with felt you *know* how much easier that made things!
After all the felt pieces were die cut I used glue to adhere them to the felt. You could stitch them on as well, but I really like the clean look of how they all layered. Although—I might be stitching some elements on future pages for sure!
Thanks so much for stopping bye today! I hope you enjoyed today’s project.

Love the idea of die cutting felt to create a mini album! This would be perfect for a shape book for a toddler!
