Father’s Day Slimline Card

Father's Day Slimline card

Hello crafty friends!  Today I created this amazing Father’s Day slimline card for a super dad!  The sentiment, Happy Father’s Day is from the Flexi Card dies (by Lori Whitlock) and the Tool Box Gift Card Holder dies (by Lynda Kanase)

For the Tool Box you will need the following cardstock colors:
4 1/2″x 3 1/2″ red
5 1/2″ x 2 1/4″ black
One of each of these colored cardstocks cut to
4 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ mirror silver, brushed silver, brown, and teal.
I am using my Amaze die cutting machine with the i-Mend Self-Mending MAGNETIC ProCutting Deck to cut all the cardstock pieces for this card.
Die cut the tools from brushed silver cardstock.
Die cut the saw and hammer handles from brown cardstock and one additional plier from teal cardstock.
Die cut the wheels, two large drawers, and two small drawers from black cardstock.
Die cut the top folding flap, wheel casters, two long drawer handles, two small drawer handles from the mirror silver cardstock.
Die cut the tool box from red cardstock.
Now you can start to assemble the tools and tool box.
Attach the brown handles to the brushed silver hammer and the saw. Cut the teal iers as shown and glue the handles to the brushed silver pliers.
Glue the mirror silver drawer handles to the top of each drawer.
Glue the black wheels to the tool box ad the mirror silver casters over the top.
Cut the mirror silver top flap off at the score line. Discard the flap.
Use a 1/8″ double-sided foam tape strips to attach the silver top to the tool box. Use the double-sided foam tape strips to attach the drawers to the tool box.  Strategically glue the tools into place.
The tool box is complete!
Die cut three Happy Father’s Day sentiments from red cardstock and one from yellow cardstock. Cut off the bar above “Happy” and below “Day”.  Then glue the red Happy Father’s Day together and glue the yellow Happy Father’s Day on top.

I layered 8 1/4″ x 3 1/4″ piece of grey cardstock on top of a 8 3/8″ x 3 3/8″ piece of black cardstock and attached this to a red slimline card base. The tool box is glued to the right side of the cards and the Father’s Day sentiment is glued at an angle on the left side to complete the card.
