Create a simple dimensional faux watercolor card.
Follow along with the instructions or scroll below for a complete video tutorial.
1. Begin by gathering your supplies. You will need:
Water Lily Dimensional Embossing Folder
i-Brush Blending Brushes
Die Cutting Machine
Distress Inks: Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass
White A2 card
With the i-Brush Blender Brushes, apply Distress Ink onto the recessed side of the dimensional embossing folder. Lightly apply Worn Lipstick to the center of the water lilies and Peeled Paint to the lily pad leaves. Apply the Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the raised background by rubbing the ink pad across the surface.
Spritz the Dimensional Embossing Folder with the water bottle.
Place a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of watercolor paper onto the inked surface. Close the folder and run this through your die cutting machine. This is a dimensional embossing folder so use the sandwich for the thicker embossing folders as recommended by the manufacturer.
Starting with a card folded to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″, trim a piece of green cardstock to 4″ x 5 1/4″. Trim the watercolor art to 3 3/4″ x 5″.
Adhere the layers on the front of the card.
Print out a sentiment and adhere it using foam tape.
Delicate and lovely, this Water Lily Dimensional Embossing Folder makes a subtle statement.
