Birthday Wrapped Rainbow

Stitched Rainbow

Have you ever been slightly afraid of a product? That’s how I felt when I received the Stitched Rainbow die, then I saw the i-crafter YouTube tutorial with this die! Lynnea made it look so easy, and FUN!

I immediately went to my local secondhand craft store, Lost & Found Crafts, and bought all sorts of random string type products. My first attempt was using this beading cord. It was pretty inexpensive and easy to work with. I used a thin chipboard instead of cardstock for my arches, it still ended up being a bit too thick for my machine and I screwed up the ends of my rainbows.

Next, I cut out several clouds from the Hello Sunshine Wiper Insert die set, these, I covered using Nuvo Dream Drops. I didn’t try to make them smooth and pretty, in fact, I intentionally chose to swirl them and tried to create some “movement” in the clouds.

Last, I used the Happy Birthday Wiper die set to cut out a shimmery gold layer and a white layer. I mounted my elements onto a 5.5″x5.5″ card base.
