Art Deco Die Cut Card

Alphabet, Haley Outline

Hey everyone! It’s Jessica today. I saw this 1920’s style during the New Year and it was the first thing I thought of when I first looked at the Geometric Favor box. I don’t make many favor boxes but it is something I want to try. For some reason those always make me nervous to make! lol. I know they are super easy though! I was inspired by the flower card I made in my last i-crafter post, but this time instead of yellow, I’m using gold to make this more glitzy for my 1920’s inspired card.

I-crafter Geometric Favor Box and Haley Outline Alphabet set

The two die sets I’m using for this card are both apart of the March release; Geometric Favor box and Haley Outline Alphabet set. So this is perfect if you are not a stamper. I used one of the interchangeable dies from the Geometric Favor Box die set with a piece of black card stock, cut down to 4in x 5.25in. I cut the die into each corner keeping the black outline shape. Using my ATG I added adhesive to the back, then adhered over the top of a gold foil card stock. Which is trimmed down to the same size as the black card stock and mounted to a A2 Neenah Solar White card base.

Now for the decorating part to this art deco card! I kept the outline pieces to the die cuts I did in the four corners. I adhered those into those slots which now shows the lovely die cut outline! The sentiment is cut from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb card stock, keeping both the outline and solid inner letter parts. I used tweezers to help adhere the letters to make out “have a swell” on the front. The inside will spell out birthday! I’m still working on adding to my birthday card stash.

The center “A” I swapped out the inner white die cut with a gold one. The Haley alphabet dies have a great font that makes lining them up. From my stash I add some pearls. These are the type that already have adhesive and are a line of them that are attached together.

For the inside I used the Haley Outline Alphabet to spell out the word birthday. This time using the gold foil outline and a white center for each letter. I also added the same art deco detail in the bottom left of the corner. Switching it up a little from the front by using a gold out line to fit into the slot that is die cut into the black card stock.

Super easy, right!? And if I had more time I would have made a matching Geometric Favor box, which is a great addition to this Happy Birthday card. Definitely going to keep that in mind for when I this card to someone!

Thank you so much for joining me today.

Let’s create something together.
