Hello my crafty friends and welcome to today’s i-crafter blog. I am using the Mini Album DIvider #3 die to create this amazing little butterfly ornament. Wouldn’t this look great hung in a kitchen window?

A – Die cut 12 geometric wreaths from cardstock. (you can use one or more colors of cardstock)
B – Fold all of the wreaths in half at the same wreath midpoint
C and D – Add glue to one half of one wreath and attach it to another wreath half. Continue these steps gluing all 12 wreath halves to each other, with the final two haves glued to each other to create an open orb for the butterfly ornament

E – Die cut 2 daisies from white cardstock and stencil the middle with yellow ink. Die cut 6 sprigs from green cardstock. Using the large single butterfly outline and insert dies from the Butterfly Burst dies, cut the outline from vellum and the insert twice from black cardstock
F – Curl the daisy petals. Glue three green sprigs to the bottom of the orb. Glue one flower to the outside bottom of the cage covering the sprigs. Glue the second flower on the inside bottom of the orb covering the sprigs.
G – Color the vellum with yellow and orange alcohol markers. Glue the butterfly wing inserts on each side of the butterfly vellum, Threading a bit of thread In one corner of the top wing.

Die cut a small 5/8″ disc and thin strip of navy cardstock. Create a loop with the strip and attach it to the disk to create a hanging loop. Tie the butterfly string to the top cross bars of the cage loosely. Glue the three remaining sprigs to the top of the butterfly ornament and glue the hanging loop to the top of the orb over the sprigs. Finishing the butterfly ornament.
